Hi! I'm Lea. I live a simple but blessed life with my husband and children on our homestead in rural West Tennessee. Born in Appalachia, the spirit of those mountains still flows in me. I delight in working with my hands and creating items that make our home a warm and comforting place to live, and look forward to sharing some of my creations with you.
Be it stitching or quilting or doll making, I often incorporate vintage items into my work. A piece of a worn quilt, a old button or an antique candle stick ~ those simple things bring such joy & warmth!
I do have a special fondness for the old arts … and of recreating items that resemble those used and enjoyed by the women of our past. I'm so inspired by their ingenuity, resourcefulness and strength.
I suppose that's why I am especially excited to be part of etsy's Farmgirl Flair team ~ such a talented group of current day artists lending their distinct style to a variety of mediums to create beauty and make our days a little sweeter.
