My natural dyeing books recommends that when I start a madder dyepot, to have plenty of dyestuff on hand. BOY, is that ever the truth! About 2 weeks ago I put a big handful of dried madder root in my dyepot, and I've been dyeing pot after pot full of fiber! First, and experimentation with a linen/cotton blend fingering weight yarn. Lovely! Then, silk scarves. gorgeous! Next, some cotton bandannas. More subtle colors, but still gorgeous. I'm on at least my 5th full dyepot from that same handful of madder root, and it's still going strong. You can find naturally dyed madder spinning silk, yarn for knitting or crocheting, and beautiful silk scarves and hankies all in my etsy store.

1 Kind Words:
Lovely work!
